During this run, competitors will endure 120 degree weather in the days, sand storms, and freezing cold nights. If these environmental factors aren't enough, there is the added challenge of being self-sufficient and carrying your own food, water, tent, and a blanket. This endurance testing race has grown over the twenty-eight years it has been ran, growing from twenty racers to 1024 showing up this year. even though you must endure six days of agonizing heat and the harsh terrain of the Saharan desert, 12000 brave runners have completed this great test of endurance and passion.
